CerTravel — The Senior Travel Blog Built on Honesty and Experience

Hi, I’m ABRAHAM CerTravel and I started CerTravel for one simple reason: I couldn’t find a travel resource that actually spoke to me as a 60-something traveler. Most blogs were written for 25-year-olds backpacking on $30 a day. The few senior travel sites I found were either outdated, vague, or secretly just pushing cruises they got paid to recommend.

So I built the resource I wished existed. CerTravel covers what actually matters to travelers over 60: finding insurance that covers your pre-existing conditions, booking an accessible cabin without getting the runaround, knowing which European cities are genuinely walkable versus full of cobblestones and stairs, and stretching a retirement budget without sacrificing comfort.

No fluff. No sponsored rankings pretending to be editorial. Just honest, practical travel guidance — the kind you’d get from a well-traveled friend.

Our mission

CerTravel exists to help Americans 60 and older travel with confidence. According to AARP’s 2025 Travel Trends Report, 70% of adults 50+ plan to travel this year — spending an average of $6,847 per person. Yet most travel content online ignores this demographic entirely.

We specialize in:

  • Comprehensive senior travel insurance guides — including coverage for pre-existing conditions
  • Honest cruise line comparisons ranked on accessibility, medical facilities, and value
  • Destination guides filtered for accessibility, safety, and healthcare quality
  • Real senior discounts on flights, hotels, and tours — verified, not just listed
  • Practical tips on Medicare abroad, medication while traveling, and mobility aids

Why trust CerTravel?

Editorial independence

When we recommend an affiliate product, we say so clearly. Our rankings are based on research, not commission rates.

Verified data

Every statistic we publish comes from primary sources: AARP, CDC, insurance filings, and government travel advisories.

Senior-first perspective

Every guide considers mobility, medications, Medicare, and travel pace — not just the best photo spots.

Regularly updated

Insurance rates, airline policies, and destination accessibility change constantly. We review our articles multiple times per year.

Our promise

Whether you’re planning your first solo trip at 68, looking for travel insurance that actually covers your diabetes and heart condition, or trying to figure out which cruise line won’t leave you stranded at the gangway — CerTravel is here with clear, honest, practical answers.

Happy travels,

ABRAHAM CerTravel
